Firmware v0.10

Firmware v0.10 is about turning live experimentation into something you can keep. The new Snapshot action captures the current performance state as a new scene, while Restore returns changed controls—and optionally tempo, preset, screen, and modulation—to their saved defaults. RTG also gains chords and triplets, alongside another substantial touch-reliability pass and improved web asset management.

Firmware v0.10 feature overview

Highlights

  • Snapshot your performance state — Capture the current scene with all changed CC values baked into a new scene’s defaults. Explore freely, find a sound you like, then save that exact state without rebuilding it by hand.
  • Restore scene defaults — Return changed CCs to their saved starting values with one action. Restore can also reset tempo, preset, screen, and modulators, making it easy to return to a known musical state after improvising.
  • RTG chords — The Random Tone Generator can now produce 2-, 3-, or 4-note chords, with major, minor, suspended, quartal, fifths, or randomized harmony and close/open voicing options.
  • RTG triplets — Add triplets probabilistically to Random and Continuous RTG patterns, from an occasional rhythmic turn to fully triplet-based output.
  • More reliable touch detection — Recovery and phantom-press handling now better distinguish real touches from sensor trouble. Threshold updates also avoid interrupting a pad that is actively being played.
  • Live scene inspection — Scene inspection now includes current live state, making it easier to understand what has changed since the scene was loaded.

Bonus round

  • On-device feedback — New toast notifications confirm whether Snapshot succeeded or failed.
  • Quick Snapshot access — Snapshot and scene readout can be reached through both-button long-press handling.
  • Bulk asset deletion — Select multiple files or folders in the web app and delete them together.
  • Flag Ceremony ready by default — The flag system is now visible and enabled without requiring an extra configuration step.
  • Expanded pedal library — The built-in catalog now contains 234 device profiles, including new Hotone products.
  • Kinotone Ghosts profile cleanup — Clearer CC names in the bundled device definition.
