How orders leave Toronto, who I will and will not pay to move a box, and why US prices currently include a temporary 50% tariff.
How do you ship?
Canada Post, out of Toronto. Tracked. That is the carrier.
Why not UPS or Uline?
Because they are some of the worst companies on earth, and I get to choose who gets my money. Canada Post is imperfect. It is still not UPS, and it is still not Uline.
Why do American orders include an extra 50%?
The United States killed the de minimis exemption. Small packages into the US are no longer casually duty-free. I have to prepay 50% of the purchase just to mail it, so that cost is in the US price rather than a surprise bill at the door. Their dumb leader murdered a working exemption and made everything worse for everyone involved — including you. This is temporary. Storm Summoner is still US$400.
Will I get surprise customs fees in the US?
No. That is what the prepaid tariffs and the 50% are for. You should not get a surprise duty bill on arrival for a normal US order.
Do you ship outside Canada and the US?
Yes. Rates depend on where you are. Outside Canada and the United States you may owe import VAT or local fees on delivery; those are between you and your customs office.
