Firmware v0.12 is a control-and-calibration release: a unified Stream action to start/stop continuous sources, tilt as a first-class performance stream, quieter proximity calibration, and a simpler scene model. Existing LFO/tilt start-stop actions migrate into Stream automatically.
The Proximity sensor range has been greatly enhanced. You should now be able to interact with the sensor up to 200mm above the device. You might want to recalibrate (Settings -> Proximity) to ensure that you're working with the full range.
Highlights
-
Stream actions — One action type now starts, stops, toggles, or holds Expression, CV, Proximity, ALS, Note Track, Tilt, LFOs, Sample+Hold, and RTG. Combo targets (both LFOs, both tilt axes) are included. Disabled sources are ignored; the saved scene is not rewritten.
-
Tilt as a performance stream — Tilt X, Y, or both can be started, stopped, toggled, or held like any other stream, with scene start modes of Running, Paused, or Follow Transport.
-
Start modes for continuous sources — Expression, CV, proximity, ALS, and Note Track can now come up running, paused, or locked to transport — same idea as LFO/RTG, applied across the rest of the mapping sources.
-
More trustworthy proximity calibration — Idle and near-hold statistics feed a noise-guarded range, so FAR/NEAR calibration is less likely to collapse into a twitchy, too-narrow window.
-
Simpler scene list — Global scene-mode switching is gone. Active scenes are just the scenes you keep enabled; less configuration between you and the next patch.
-
Flag Ceremony is always on — The extra enable/disable setting is gone. Flag raise/lower, flag-timed actions, and flag-keyed CCs are part of the instrument. Note actions now send a proper Note Off if a flag clear would otherwise leave a note hanging.
-
Menus that remember where you were — List scroll position, roller commits, and focus restoration survive scene changes and page transitions more reliably.
Bonus round
-
Safer memory teardown — PSRAM pointers are cleared more carefully to avoid crashes from stale allocations.
-
Touchwheel registration — Live mode lookup and programming-mode registration are more consistent, with fewer false recoveries during calibration.
-
Device definition cache — Pedal JSON is hashed so a changed profile actually reloads instead of serving a stale cache.
-
User handle cleanup — Handles are restricted to allowed characters; scene JSON escaping is safer when names contain quotes or special characters.
-
Chase Bliss profile updates — Lost + Found gains Resonator Type; other Chase Bliss definitions get control-change and version refreshes.
-
On-device debug UART — Optional UART log mirroring (hold left button at boot, or via Debug settings) for support diagnostics.
