Firmware v0.13 is the big pedal-library release, with a major expansion of MIDI device profiles and smarter handling for clock-dependent controls. It also adds Stream Hold Cut for momentary muting, a default timing preference for new modulators, and another round of touch/hold reliability fixes — including support for newer hardware revisions.
Highlights
- 391 new pedal definitions — The built-in library jumps to 623 devices, with a large batch of new MIDI-enabled profiles. More pedals should “just work” without rolling your own JSON.
- Clock-aware pedal controls — Device definitions can now vary by whether Storm Summoner is generating MIDI clock. Sync-dependent parameters (common on Chase Bliss and similar pedals) show the right names and value ranges when clock is on vs. off.
- Stream Hold Cut — Stream Hold actions can use Cut mode: hold to mute the selected stream(s), release to restore what was running. Handy for momentary drops of expression, LFOs, tilt, RTG, etc., without rewriting the scene.
- Default timing preference — Set whether new LFO, RTG, and Sample+Hold configs default to note-division sync or free-running Hz — matches how you think about tempo without re-toggling every new scene.
- Correct firmware for your hardware — v0.13 ships two builds (earlier and Rev 11+ boards). The web updater picks the right image from your device’s hardware revision.
- Hold actions play nicer with touch — Hold-style actions coordinate with touch session state so musical pads and LFO/stream holds are less likely to fight the surface or fire spurious releases.
- Touch & screw-calibration polish — Better elevation thresholds, hold interference fixes, and pad-12 screw-calibration unstick — building on the v0.11 reliability work.
Bonus round
- Hardware revision display — Device info shows your board revision (Rev 9–13).
- Clock changes refresh the editor — Toggling scene or device clock settings updates clock-gated CC visibility in the web scene editor and on-device CC defaults.
- Chase Bliss profile updates — Mood MKII and related definitions gain clock-gated variant support in the bundled library.
- Device Authoring docs — Updated guidance for authoring clock-gated x_variants in custom pedal JSON.
