Firmware v0.7

Firmware v0.7 is here — a big update spanning the last six weeks of work. The headline changes are a full web-based scene editor (inspect, download, reorder, and configure scenes from your browser), a major touch reliability pass (stuck pads are quarantined and recovered automatically), and a ground-up action system reorganization that makes every touchpad assignment clearer and more powerful. Underneath that sits a pile of new musical tools — Shepard tones, note tracking, CV/MIDI triggers, randomization, and more.

With v0.7 finally out the door, I am shifting gears back to the video manual. There is method to my madness; I realized that even with the live view of the device, it's often easier to follow configuration steps when you can see it in a web view. I remain committed to device/web UI parity so anything you see me do in a browser will work on the device with no computer in sight. I appreciate your ongoing patience as I learn video editing in real time.

  • Web scene editor — Browse your full scene list, inspect any scene's settings at a glance, download scenes as ZIP files for offline editing, revert changes, and reorder scenes — all from the browser while connected to your device.
  • Rock-solid touch response — Stuck touchpads are automatically quarantined and recovered; false triggers during scene changes are suppressed. The surface should feel noticeably more dependable in live use.
  • Actions, reorganized — Every touchpad action now uses a clean variant model (Hold, Cycle, Toggle, Modify, and more) across presets, tempo, transport, LFO, RTG, sample & hold, and everything else. Less confusion, more expressive options.
  • Shepard tone generator — A new RTG mode with rising or falling infinite glissandi, multi-voice layouts, and several crossfade styles for hypnotic, never-ending pitch sweeps.
  • Note Track — Map incoming MIDI notes to control changes and other parameters, with configurable note range, channel, and filter modes — turn your keyboard into a performance controller.
  • On-Transport timing & downbeat resync — Schedule actions to fire when transport starts at the downbeat, and reset bar/beat position on demand for tight sync with your DAW or clock.
  • MIDI CC triggers — Assign actions to incoming MIDI CC messages directly in a scene, with on-device menu pages for channel and input setup.
  • CV Trigger mode — Fire actions from CV input using configurable threshold and debounce — your modular rig can now trigger scene actions.
  • Richer Note actions — Play chords (1–4 voices), optional bass octave shift, random root notes, and tempo-synced aftertouch swell on held notes.
  • Randomization everywhere — Random BPM (with min/max range), random LFO parameters, and random note roots for generative, never-the-same-twice performances.

  • Inspect Scene — Pull up a scrolling on-device summary of the current scene's settings.
  • Fractional BPM — Set tempos like 120.5 or 87.3 BPM, not just whole numbers.
  • Pedal picker in the web editor — Choose pedals from a catalog when building scenes, with warnings when changing assignments.
  • Factory vs. user scenes — Built-in presets and your own creations are clearly separated in both the web UI and on-device menus.
